Thrust Review

|

Thrust is a testosterone booster marketed by Magnum Nutraceuticals. It comes in 20 serving bottles at $66.25.

Claimed to promote:

  • Testosterone levels
  • Fat loss
  • Strength
  • Muscle gains

This product is Magnum Nutraceuticals’ “Number 1 Testsoterone Booster”, so we’re expecting big things. We’ve analyzed Thrusts’ ingredients to determine its effectiveness.

Take a look:

About the Company

Founded in 2005, Magnum Nutraceuticals is a supplements company that’s proud of their manufacturing quality – only producing supplements in cGMP approved facilities, which is what you’d expect from a quality company.

They market a variety of products, from fat burners to pre-workout supplements, aiming to provide “pharmaceutical grade” supplements.

The Ingredients and How They Work

Magnum Nutraceuticals gets the thumbs up for manufacturing their products in cGMP approved facilities, but it’s downhill when looking at the ingredient list for Thrust.

All ingredients inside this T-Booster are part of proprietary blends – you’re only given the overall quantity of these blends, and not the individual doses.

This is a problem, as it can be harmful to those sensitive to any ingredients inside. But on a positive note, Thrust contains contains some key ingredients that are shown to improve T-levels, such as Fenugreek Seeds and Stinging Nettle Extract.

Another positive is the amount of servings – you should be taking servings 4 times spread throughout your day, so your body keeps topped up with the nutrients it needs to improve testosterone and libido.

See for yourself:

Estro-Modulating Compound

We’ll only analyze the important ingredients in this proprietary blend, to keep you from getting bored while providing information you need.

Tongkat Ali Root Extract

Also known as Eurycoma Longifolia Jack, it’s believed to be an aphrodisiac and improve sperm production.

This ingredient’s shown to be effective at improving erections, libido, sperm quality, and reduced stress levels – but only in doses between 200-300mg.

This is a problem, as it’s part of a proprietary blend, so you’ll never know the exact dose inside Thrust – meaning it might be ineffective if it’s very under-dosed.

Acetyl L-Carnitine

Also known as ALCAR, it’s known for its ability to enhance cognition. But it’s also proven to reduce fatigue, body fat, muscle damage and soreness, while improving sperm quality.

Ultimately, ALCAR’s a very beneficial ingredient to have in a supplement.

Naringenin

This is simply used to enhance flavor in products, and is found in grapefruit, oranges, tomatoes, and water mint.

However, no studies have shown that it delivers any benefits suited to a testosterone booster supplement.

Prolonged T-Augmenting Compound

Maca

Maca’s a vegetable that’s historically been used as an aphrodisiac and grown in Peru. Studies have backed up the use of Maca, with it being shown to effectively improve libido in 1,500-3,000mg doses.

However, this whole proprietary blend is 1,410mg, meaning it’s impossible for there to be enough Maca to be effective – meaning it’s ineffective at increasing libido in Thrust.

Puncture Vine

Also known as Tribulus Terrestris, it’s a plant that’s used traditionally in Indian medicine (Ayurveda). It’s believed to enhance libido and sexual heath, and studies have shown that it can deliver this benefit in 6,000mg doses.

But here’s the problem. As the ‘Prolonged T-Augmenting Compound’ blend is 1,410mg, it’s impossible for there to be an effective dose of Puncture Vine contained.

Also, other negatives are that studies have proven this ingredient has no effect on T-levels, and that it can increase prostate weight (which would lead to serious health issues).

We recommend staying away from this ingredient to avoid its side effects.

Safed Musli Extract

Also known as Chlorophytum Borivilianum, it’s a herb used in Indian medicine (Ayurveda). It’s believed to raise libido and quality of erections, but the lack of human studies makes it unreliable.

It’s worrying that this ingredient could potentially be ineffective, and as you don’t know the exact dose, it could be taking up the majority of this blend.

T-Optimizing Compound

Muira Puama

This has traditionally been used as an aphrodisiac in Brazil in 1000-1500mg doses. However, there haven’t been any studies proving that it actually improves libido.

Another problem is the dosing – it’s impossible for there to be an effective dose of Muira Puama, as the overall quantity of this ‘T-Optimizing Compound’ blend is 700mg.

Stinging Nettle

This is commonly known for it’s ability to ‘sting’ when touched, but it’s shown to boost testosterone levels in 300mg doses taken 2 times daily.

This is a problem, as you’re not provided with the exact dose of Stinging Nettle in Thrust, as it’s part of a proprietary blend. Ultimately, this ingredient could be inadequately dosed, which would make it ineffective.

Dodder Seed

Not much is known about this ingredient, except that it’s used traditionally in Chinese herbal medicine to treat urinary tract infections, as well as spleen and hepatic disorders.

There’s no reason for Dodder Seed to be in a testosterone booster supplement, as it’s not proven to provide any suitable benefits. This is concerning, as it could be taking up most of this ‘T-Optimizing Compound’ blend, without you knowing.

Ultimately, this is an ineffective ingredient in a T-Booster supplement.

Fenugreek Seeds

This is the best ingredient in Thrust, so it’s a shame that it’s part of a proprietary blend. It’s proven to improve testosterone levels, libido, and even promotes fat loss.

The problem is that there might be a minimal amount in Thrust, meaning it would be ineffective in providing these benefits. We recommend looking for a T-Booster supplement that contains Fenugreek Seeds, without any proprietary blends included.

Anabolic Thrusting Agents

We’ll group all of these ingredients together, as it’ll keep you from getting bored, and none are very effective.

This proprietary blend is formed with various Ecdysteroids (class of hormones found in insects) and Isoflavones (naturally occuring hormones).

The problem is that none of the ingredients in this blend have shown to provide any benefits at all. This means that at least 500mg of Thrust is ineffective, which is worrying after looking at the price ($66.25).

Fenugreek is a key ingredient in a T-Booster, while Tongkat Ali, Maca, and Stinging Nettle are also effective when dosed correctly – but you never know the exact doses.

Side Effects

Not many ingredients come with risks of side effects, but they’re not effective in a T-booster supplement either. However, there’s one ingredient that causes concern – Tribulus Terrestris, which can cause increase prostate weight and lead to serious health issues.

  • Increased prostate weight (Tribulus Terrestris).

Thrust Review Conclusion

While Thrust contains a few ingredients that are great in a T-Booster, such as Fenugreek Seeds, Tongkat Ali, Maca, and Stinging Nettle – over half of its content are ineffective in delivering relevant benefits (improving testosterone and libido).

Also, even the beneficial ingredients are part of a proprietary blend, meaning you don’t know whether they’re dosed optimally. This would make these ingredients useless.

We recommend looking for a T-Booster that contains more key ingredients, such as Vitamin D3, Aspartic Acid, and Asian Red Panax Ginseng.
