Animal Cuts Review

|

Do you have an ‘inner-animal’? Are you looking to lose weight while getting ripped in the process? Do you refuse to read complicated ingredient labels?

Well if you do… I may have a difficult answer for you.

Universal Nutrition’s Animal Cuts, is fat burner like no other. It is raw, angry, animal fury determined to eat away at your fat cells so fast your nose will bleed… possibly.

The key to unlock your center-centaur lies within Animal Cuts’ ability to:

  • Incinerate fat
  • Flush out water weight
  • Increase focus
  • Use unproven and sometimes banned ingredients

About the Company:

With a reputation 25 years in the making, Universal Nutrition has released a plethora of products to accomplish one goal: “providing cutting edge and staple nutritional products to bodybuilders and hard training athletes”, and with the company still standing firm, it appears to be doing just that.

Owning both the AnimalPak and Natural Sterol Complex brands, Universal Nutrition supply all things supplement, from pre-workout and testosterone boosters, to fat burners and weight gainers. All available in selected stores on online.

Ingredients and how they work:

Animal Cuts clearly advises consuming 2 packs over a three-week cycle, ended by a week off. Unfortunately, the ingredients of their product does not share the same transparency.

animal cuts supplement facts

Each ingredient seems to fall under some umbrella-ed combination or ‘complex’, regarding the results the achieve. These ‘complex’s are complex, with each one aiding different aspects of a lifter’s lifestyle simultaneously.

And herein lies the rub, each complex fails to include the measurements for dosages involved in their respective contents.

Nevertheless, the actual ingredients are still listed giving us at least some inclination of what to expect from the product.

Guarana – The caffeine-rich nut, increasing energy, focus and metabolism. Be wary, per longed use of caffeine from such a strong ingredient will lead an increase to the body’s tolerance to it, and the supplement will feel weaker as a result.

Green Tea Extract – Almost imperative to any supplement creating a thermogenic process; green tea extract boosts metabolism and burns fat by its clever combination of caffeine and catechins which allows it to inhibit the synthase enzyme.

L-Tyrosine – A powerful amino acid that gets to work quickly. When ingested, L-Tyrosine releases noradrenaline and dopamine, giving you the pump and the confidence to stay motivated and alert.

DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol) – A nootropic that works with the communication of nerve cells. Needed for production of the brain chemical choline, this helps to yield acetylcholine, a cornerstone when it comes to improving connections in the brain and nervous system.

Hoodia Gordonii – Said to be an impeccable appetite suppressant, or so Animal Cuts believes. Unfortunately there has been no scientific paper proving this, and many doctors believe HG’s dietary aids are a myth.

Those are just a few of the ingredients of the whopping 40 in this product, and the more strangers you bring to the party, the bigger chance of things going wrong.

Animal Cuts pros and cons:

Pros

  • I don’t pity the fool: Despite the mystique behind dosages in complexes, Animal Cuts uses a lot of natural ingredients including a mixture of 4 tea extracts.
  • Diuretic is an often overlooked angle in weight loss supplements. Removing excess water weight is a great motivator and confidence booster to keep someone losing the pounds.

Cons

  • The lack of specifics for dosage measurements make it difficult for those who are sensitive to certain ingredients on whether or not to buy the product.
  • Having a cortisol complex is risky business, too much cortisol in the body leads to a weakened immunity, and ironically, cause weight gain.
  • DMAE is a banned substance in both Australia and Canada, and features an extensive list of potential side effects such as depression, increased blood pressure and insomnia.
  • Every three weeks on, must be broken up by a week off.

Side Effects

Falling into suit with most other supplement companies, Universal Nutrition believe Animal Cuts is “Not for use by those under the age of 18. Consult a physician before using this product.”

And they’re right, many Animal Cuts ingredients carry rather dangerous side effects including: vomiting, nausea, heartburn, increased urination, diarrhea and more.

Although, we could argue to take these reports with a pinch of salt. If these side effects were constantly prevalent the product wouldn’t be on the market.

We only have to look to the former pre-workout Jack3d to notice that the trouble only really starts when people exceed their dosage. However, with the amount of caffeine in this product, and the body’s ability to build a tolerance, history often has a rather sad way of repeating itself.

Animal Cuts Review Conclusion

Animal Cuts is a strong product, backed up by the credibility of the Universal Nutrition brand and their no questions asked refund policy.

The main drawback seems to be the ambiguity that surrounds the specific measurements of individual ingredients, and the potential side effects that travel with them.

If the risks don’t bother you, have at it, but I would strongly advise against it. There are far safer options in the market, for example just read our Instant Knockout Review.

In closing this is a very strong supplement. It is not for the faint-hearted… literally.
