Zantrex-3 Fat Burner Review

|

When in the market for a weight loss solution, one must always remember that diet and exercise are just as important as the product you buy. There is no such thing as a ‘magic pill’ to get you through the cutting phase. Dedication and hard work plays and important role.

That said, some of the products on the market do have their merits and can make all the difference when all else has failed.

This time we turn to Zoller Laboratories for the answer, to see if their Zantrex-3 Fat Burner lives up to the hype considering it’s position on GNC‘s website.

Keeping it conservative, Zoller Laboratories claim Zantrex-3 gives:

    • Rapid Fat Loss*
    • Incredible Energy*

There is no mention of the usual thermogenesis or appetite suppression spiel like most fat burners do. This is either a poorly marketed product or a fairly straight forward one.

About the Company

Strangely, there’s no website for Zoller Laboratories – but there is one dedicated to Zantrex-3. Which at least gives us some handle on the companies ethos. Something refreshing about this website is the constant reminder of the money-back guarantee, and I quote:

“All Zoller® Laboratories formulations are backed by our 100% money-back guarantee… If you are not satisfied with any Zoller Labs formulation just return it to the place of purchase within 30 days”

This is some solace that they believe in the products effectiveness and are willing to stand behind it if it fails to deliver. Which it might, considering they have a big pretty menu link to their testimonials section… that redirects to their products.

If you’re interested in producing a testimonial, this product can be purchased from various online retailers including GNC and Amazon.com

However to really know if this product lives up to the positions it’s been listed online, we’ll have to look into the ingredients for a solid confirmation.

The Ingredients and how they work

The serving suggestions for the Zantrex-3 Fat Burner are fairly straight forward – 2 capsules in a morning and 2 with your ‘main meal’ which we can probably assume is dinner.

It’s probably not the best directions I’ve seen for fat burners, I usually tend to opt for ones that require around 4 servings a day. This ensures a constant uptake of the essentials to keep the metabolism high and the fat burning effects constantly in motion without any risk of an ‘energy crash’.

Anyway, let’s see what we have here:

zantrex3Needless to say, there’s a lot to be desired here – especially when the entirety of the product comes in the form of a proprietary blend.

Citrus Extract – Rather brilliantly, we don’t know what fruit this came from. I guess it’s probably Citrus Aurantium as that’s the most common in these types of products, however, there’s no way to know for sure, and that does have it’s side effects when surpassing a certain dose.

Guarana Extract – A solid high caffeinated herb that’s great for raising energy levels and metabolism. If only we knew how much of this product was in Zantrex-3, we might of been able to have more confidence in this ingredient’s effectiveness.

Coffee Bean Extract – Coffee bean is another solid caffeine product, however, we don’t know what type of coffee bean this is, if it’s a green unroasted one – it’s good for reducing glucose build up in the liver. If it’s the former, it’s good for caffeine levels. Again, this lazy lackluster ingredient transparency costs this product it’s reliability.

Kola Extract – Another caffeinated natural ingredient. Kola nut is great for energy levels and metabolism, purely for the caffeine involvement. The only worry is that too much caffeine could lead to some unwanted side effects.

Green Tea Extract – So many caffeinated products in this fat burner, at least green tea offers a little bit more than just caffeine. The catechins in green tea are good for releasing norepinephrine which is a valued fat burning hormone and gives the body a real thermogenic boost to help with burning more calories at a faster rate.

Kelp Powder – Though to help create a rise in the metabolism in an effort to help the body lose weight through using the thyroid. This due to the iodide found in the underwater plant.

Fennel Powder – Not really a fat burning ingredient, but more of a diuretic and digestive aid. This will help shed any additional water weight that comes from salty foods. However, the main problem is knowing if there is enough in this product.

Alpha Lipoic Acid – Used chiefly to break down carbohydrates to make energy for the body. Its also helps with the restoration of vitamins C and E in the body.

Side Effects

As always with a proprietary blend there’s trouble identifying which ingredient causes the most concern. We have no idea of the dosages and some of these ingredient listings contain the bare minimum.

For example: The Citrus Extract. What type of flavanoid is being utilized here? Luteolin? Synephrine? In this case it’s more likely Synephrine as that seems to be the main choice for fat burners that take ingredients in this area – however Synephrine can cause potential side effects when used in conjunction with caffeinated herbs. Which this fat burner does. Potential heart risks and headaches are some of the main players, purely from this ingredient, but we have no concrete way to know for sure.

Another thought is the caffeine in this product. A lot of the ingredients in this are caffeinated herbs that could cause the main problems of headaches, jitters, high blood pressure and nausea. There are more but these are the most common.

The big red flag on this product is the use of proprietary blends. Considering that includes the entire product we can not be sure which ingredient to trust and which does what. It could be 960mg of one ingredient and the rest of them split up over 4mg. There’s no real way to know for certain, and that makes me very concerned.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Contains some caffeinated herbs
  • More than one serving a day to keep fat burning effects up
  • 30 day money-back guarantee

Cons

  • Proprietary blends – no idea how much you’re getting. A huge No-No
  • A lot of the ingredients are caffeine related
  • Potential side effects from unspecific ingredient descriptions

Zantrex-3 Fat Burner Review Conclusion

Without hesitation I can safely say – don’t buy this product.

It’s an entire proprietary blend, and it’s absolute madness. You’ve no idea what you’re putting your body in for and the results could go horribly wrong. The main worry is the relationship between the potential synephrine and the caffeinated herbs – this could lead to serious problems and side effects that are not worth putting yourself threw.

Proprietary blends and all that other ‘wool-over-your-eyes’ style of supplement manufacturing is poison to the supplement industry.
