Rather than looking at the marketing, this review looks at the facts behind Mr. Hyde, what it contains, and how good it will actually be for your workouts.

About the Company – Pro Supps
ProSupps have been around on the market for years, they’re a very well established brand.
Providing a number of different types of supplements to the industry, their main export has to be their pre workout range.
They’re a premium brand and are sold primarily on the bigger sites such as Bodybuilding.com.
Their ingredients are high quality, whether they’ve chosen the right ones however, is a different story.
The Ingredients and how they work
For Mr. Hyde, all you need is one scoop 15 – 30 minutes before a workout – and that’s it.
We’ve looked at the dosages on this product, and the caffeine is very high. This is definitely not a pre workout that you want to be double-scooping.
For Mr. Hyde we recommend you use it as directed, or even start by using less if you’re sensitive to caffeine.
It’s a powerful supplement. This is what you need to know about the ingredients:
One of the better amino acids for performance.
Beat Alanine has been seen to buffer the acid in your muscles, and give you a better start in the first 60 – 240 seconds of an exercise. It’s great for explosive power.
On the downside though it can cause distracting side effects.
Great for boosting overall power output.
Creatine retains extra water in your muscles that allow them to respond with much more explosive power.
May have some effect on cognitive performance, but not much real evidence has come forward.
One of the better options for muscle pumps. L-Citrulline has been seen to promote overall nitric oxide levels in the blood for some incredible muscle pumps during training.
However, studies have shown you need at least 4 – 8g of Citrulline to get the full effects – the 500mg in Mr. Hyde won’t do much at all.
Potentially the best natural stimulant on the market – but in Mr. Hyde there’s a catch.
The caffeine matrix is high. With 419mg of caffeine overall, taken in one serving it’s hard to build a tolerance to hit of that level – and could cause several side effects.
We’ll cover that in more detail later on.
A cognitive enhancer that is converted in your body into acetylcholine – the nutrient that promotes learning.
When dosed correctly, this nutrient can boost our overall focus in the gym.
Also known as N,N-Dimethyltyramine – it’s found in various foods and thought to work as a fat burner.
However, this may not be the case. The evidence is minimal with more studies needed to be done to confirm suspicions.
N-Methyl L-Tyramine HCl
A similar structure to hordenine, with similar results – an unproven fat burner.
Mainly used to promote focus by how it promotes ‘depressive’ neurotransmitters without drowsiness.
However, studies have shown it has difficulties crossing the blood brain barrier, and can be unreliable in cases.
More commonly used in fat burners, and thought to suppress appetite – however there is a link
Rauwolfia Vomitoria Root
Similar in effect to Yohimbine, may suppress appetite – but as a pre workout, you’re not going to get much benefit overall.
What you need to know about the ingredients:
On the whole, there’s a mix of some great pre workout ingredients here, but also one or two not so good ones.
The main thing we’d recommend you to do with a nutrient profile like this is to start with smaller servings – that caffeine is going to kick hard.
Start with a low dose and work up to a full scoop – this’ll stop you getting any nasty surprises.

– Pre Workout Ingredients –
There’s two issues we want to raise regarding side effects: the caffeine and the yohimbe.
First off, the caffeine. You’re dealing with nearly 500mg of caffeine per serving. That’s over 5 cups of coffee – in one hit. It’s serious stuff.
This can lead to some serious problems such as:
- Increased Heart Rate
Whereas Yohimbe has been reported to cause anxiety, hypertension and gastrointestinal distress.
It’s a risky choice, but the other ingredients are solid.

Mr. Hyde Review Conclusion
On the whole Mr. Hyde is an effective pre workout – but not by any means is it perfect.
If you’re looking for serious energy, and you think you can handle the equivalent of 5 cups of coffee in one hit, then this could be the pre workout for you.
The nutrient profile is good. You should be able to get a good amount of energy and focus from Mr. Hyde – however, again, the caffeine could be too much to handle.
Don’t be tempted to double scoop it.
This isn’t the best Pre Workout available, but it’s definitely up there.
